• Native habitat: Rabbit snails come from the ancient lakes of Sulawesi, Indonesia.
• Species variety: There are several types available in the hobby, including Yellow Rabbit Snails, Chocolate Rabbit Snails, Golden Rabbit Snails, Black Rabbit Snails, and White Spotted Rabbit Snails
  
• Appearance: They have long, spiraled shells and a distinctive “face” with extended lips, giving them their rabbit-like look.

Care & Setup

Tank Requirements

• Tank size: Minimum 40 litres, though larger tanks are better for stability.

• Décor: Provide rocks, driftwood, and plants for grazing surfaces.

Water Parameters

• Temperature: 22–28°C.
• pH: Neutral to slightly alkaline (7.0–8.0).
• Hardness: Moderate hardness helps maintain shell health.

Filtration & Maintenance

• Gentle filtration: Avoid strong currents; sponge filters work well.
• Water changes: Regular small changes keep conditions stable.

Feeding

• Diet: They graze naturally on algae and biofilm.
• Supplemental food: Blanched vegetables (spinach, baby marrow), algae wafers, and calcium-rich foods to support shell growth.
