Terms and Conditions

Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern all products, services, and transactions between Tech Realms (“the Company”) and the Client.

By engaging with Tech Realms, the Client agrees to be bound by these Terms.

Tech Realms provides:

  • IT support and technical assistance
  • Hardware and software sales
  • Repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance
  • Consulting and troubleshooting services

All services are provided based on skill, experience, and best industry practices, without guaranteeing specific outcomes.

  • All quotations are valid for a limited period unless stated otherwise
  • Work will only commence once acceptance is confirmed (written, verbal, or payment)
  • Any additional work requested outside the agreed scope will be billed separately
  • Full payment or deposit may be required before work begins
  • All invoices must be paid within the stated period
  • Tech Realms reserves the right to withhold services or goods until payment is received

  • New Products

    • All new items are subject to the manufacturer or supplier warranty only
    • Tech Realms does not provide additional warranties unless explicitly stated
    • Any defects must be handled through the supplier process
 
  • Used / Refurbished Products

    • All used items are sold “as is” / voetstoots
    • Items are tested and confirmed working at time of sale
    • No warranty is provided unless stated in writing
    • Clients are encouraged to test products before purchase
  • No refunds will be issued once a product has been sold and accepted, unless required by law
  • Refunds are strictly subject to supplier approval for defective new products
  • If a supplier replaces or credits the item, Tech Realms will pass this on accordingly
  • Opened, used, or tampered items are non-refundable
  • All return costs are for the Client’s account

Clients may not demand refunds based on preference, compatibility issues, or change of mind

  • All repairs are conducted with care, but no guarantee is given that faults can be fully resolved
  • Devices may have pre-existing or hidden faults not visible during assessment
  • Any additional faults discovered may incur further charges
  • Collection of devices must be done within a reasonable timeframe after completion
  • Clients are solely responsible for backing up their data before services
  • Tech Realms is not liable for any data loss, corruption, or recovery failure
  • Data recovery is not guaranteed under any circumstances
  • The Client agrees:

    • To provide accurate information about devices and issues
    • Not to misuse services or products
    • To follow all usage and care instructions
    • To ensure compatibility before purchasing
  • Tech Realms shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including:
    • Loss of data
    • Loss of income
    • Loss of business
  • Liability is strictly limited to the amount paid for the specific service or product
    • All services are provided “as is” and “as available”
    • No guarantees are made regarding:
      • Performance improvements
      • Compatibility
      • Error-free operation
    • Third-party software and hardware remain the responsibility of their respective providers
    • Tech Realms is not responsible for failures, delays, or defects caused by third-party providers
    • Clients agree that all third-party warranties are handled directly with those providers
    • Devices not collected within 30 days may incur storage fees
    • Devices not collected within 60–90 days may be sold to recover costs (subject to applicable law)
    • Orders or services cancelled after work has begun may be subject to charges
    • Deposits are non-refundable once work has started
    • Any configurations, setups, or systems created remain the intellectual property of Tech Realms unless otherwise agreed
    • Clients are granted usage rights only

Tech Realms reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

  • Tech Realms operates in good faith and provides services to the best of its ability
  • The Client agrees not to pursue unjustified claims, chargebacks, or disputes outside of these Terms
  • Tech Realms shall not be held responsible for any misuse of products or services, incorrect handling, or failure to follow provided guidance. All services and products are used at the Client’s own risk.

  • By proceeding with any service or purchase, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions in full, and waives any claim inconsistent with these Terms.
